Chesapeake school has state’s biggest solar energy project

At one time, the largest solar array in the state was on top of an Ikea. Now Western Branch High School holds that title. According to The Virginian-Pilot, the newly-installed 3,200 panels will power about 200 homes and began producing electricity last week. Dominion is leasing the space and allows teachers to utilize them in lessons.
