PETA is celebrating Shelter Pet adoption Day Saturday with an event at the Bea Arthur Dog Park featuring area shelters and organizations. If you can’t adopt but need an excuse to pet some adorable animals, they’ll have food trucks, too. Also, check out the Mutt Struck Dog Walk and Festival in Suffolk on Sunday.
