The VA takes a bite out of veteran homelessness

Those working to end veteran homelessness in Hampton Roads are getting a big boost. The Dept. of Veterans Affairs awarded more than a million dollars to local efforts. An organization based in Virginia Beach will receive more than $800,000 and another on the Peninsula will get more than $250,000, according to the Virginian-Pilot.
