Virginia voter registration spikes in October

October was a good month for democracy in the Old Dominion. More than 350,000 Virginians registered to vote in 2016, and almost a third of those new voters jumped on in the last month before the election. Hampton Roads didn’t see gains as big as some other cities, but Virginia Beach, Newport News and Portsmouth all saw increases.
